Sometimes on the weekends I get on that small ship that some idealistic people here have bought. They offer transfer from one side to the other or small round trips. The small ones are 15 minutes, the so called “panoramic” ones which are only offered on Sundays are 30 minutes. I just love to get on that old ship, sit on the front end and take one or two trips up and down the river. It changes my perspective. I look differently at things from the water. I notice different things on the water. The small boats, the people sitting beside the river, the architecture of the villages along the river. The gentle rocking of the ship when another ship or boat passes by. The sound of the old ship engine. The huge trees along the river, the vine yards on the hills. Yes, I love to be on the river, it somehow soothes my soul.
